"A Connecticut resident all of her life, Tara's main focus is her surroundings, taking pictures of a familiar, external place that evoke a subjective, inner world. A visual image, such as a portrait of her younger brother, makes her instantly feel an emotion, vulnerability, that sees a future memory, now a photograph. Her practice anchors her deep-seated love of family, the need for stability and clarity, acting as a safeguard against change in her unknowable future. Like the keeper of a family picture album, she chooses a single person/place to "frame" her pictures."
